3. As regards stores which were not repeat

not used by the governments themselves but

were disposed of on the local market, I am

prepared to let the matter rest on the

present busis, but I am sure it will be

appreciated by all concerned in the two

territories that this represents a generous

attitude on the part of His Majesty'a

(lovernment, who are thereby accepting very

large losses on the stores in question.

4. A similar request is being audressed to

Tong Kong.
